The specification used for Minnesota asphalt pavements and mixtures has changed four times since 1988. These revisions affect the mix design, asphalt materials, and construction methods. The Asphalt Paving Guide has been developed to inform and assist local engineers and maintenance staff with the current procedures and requirements, enabling them to continue providing quality pavements using the best practices available.
